About Minstrel Music

Minstrel Productions was founded a quarter of a century ago in order to bring together talented instrumentalists to perform works of the 18^th, 19^th, and 20^th centuries. It has promoted concerts all over the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Far East, and indeed has a sister association based in Japan.

Several dozen concerts have been presented in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall, London. One of its largest undertakings was a seven concert series at the Royal Festival Hall dedicated to the 18^th century Pleasure Gardens of London, which included a series devoted to the English song, and the staging of four 18^th century English music theatre operas.

It acts as co-administrator of the Annual International East Anglia Summer Music Festival based at Hadleigh in Suffolk, and its future plans include a cycle of the 27 Mozart Piano Concerti.
